Career Construction Experiences of Syrian Refugee Women in Turkish Higher Education: Opportunities and Obstacles

Cette étude explore les opportunités et les défis en matière de développement de carrière et d‘éducation supérieure auxquels sont confrontées les réfugiées syriennes en Turquie, à travers des entretiens semistructurés avec 40 femmes inscrites dans une université publique. Les résultats indiquent des défis importants en ce qui concerne le développement de carrière et les études supérieures, qui découlent de l’intersection entre le genre et le statut de réfugié, notamment la discrimination sur le marché du travail, l’augmentation des tâches ménagères et des responsabilités en matière de soins, ainsi que des préoccupations morales à l’égard des femmes indépendantes. L’étude identifie également des possibilités d’empouvoirement à travers les droits des femmes, l’autonomie, l’égalité et l’autosuffisance. Elle contribue aux études sur les réfugiés, à l’enseignement supérieur et à l’intégration en reconnaissant le potentiel transformatif de l’éducation et de l’emploi pour les réfugiées syriennes.
